Artist Statement
All forms of art have been a passion of mine since an early age, and I particularly love to paint with oils. Inspired by the works of Van Gogh, O'Keefe, Monet, Vermeer, Bonnard, Hopper and Kandisky. My paintings are primarily landscape/seascape but I also like to delve into the world of abstract. In creating compositions I like to work with unique vantage points focusing on balancing shape, edge, value and warm/cool relationships.
In an effort to continue to improve my painting skills I attend classes whenever the opportunity presents itself and read everything pertaining to painting that I can get my hands on. My goal is to unify a beautiful image with my creative energy.
